Pearson Jr. visits Eldora and Brownstown for Castrol FNiA Opening week
Earl Pearson Jr. quickly returned to the driver's seat of his Papich Racing No. 46 Late Model on Tuesday afternoon at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America tour opener.
Following the eighth-fastest lap in his qualifying group, EPJ grabbed the final A-Main transfer position in his heat race. For the $23,023-to-win main event, Pearson Jr. slowed to a stop just two laps into the 50-lap feature after losing a cylinder. After racing down one cylinder for the first half of the feature, Earl pulled in early and was scored 19th.
For the second night of Castrol FNiA action at Brownstown Speedway (Brownstown, Ind.), Earl timed in seventh-fastest in his group before picking up the final A-Main transfer spot in his heat race. With the track locking down in the main event, Pearson Jr. made up two spots to land an 11th-place finish.
