Holland takes on USMTS foes at Hamilton County Speedway
Chase Holland traveled to Webster City, Iowa, this weekend to take part in the 13th annual USMTS Spring Classic at the half-mile Hamilton County Speedway in the central portion of the Hawkeye State.
Holland, a native of Success, Mississippi, turned in a third-place qualifying effort in his group on Thursday, putting his Industrial Dock & Door No. 45 Dirt Modified fourth on the grid for his heat race. He came home sixth, forcing him into one of the night’s B-Mains. Holland finished in the 11th spot and was unable to transfer into the 30-lap feature on the event's opening night.
On Friday, Holland came home 11th in his heat race after hitting a hole that damaged his car’s driveshaft and J-bar. As a result he was unable to start his B-Feature and attempt to make the weekend's second 30-lap feature.
With a damaged race car, the team elected to skip Saturday’s $10,000-to-win finale, but the evening was a victim of rain.
