Diercks visits Lake Ozark Speedway for MLRA doubleheader
Competing in the Super Late Model ranks, Spencer Diercks invaded Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, Mo.) on Friday afternoon for the doubleheader weekend with the Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA).
In a field of 36 cars, Spencer’s fourth-to-second showing in his heat race placed him on the second row for the opener. With $5,000 on the line, Diercks was an early retiree from the 30-lapper with eight circuits remaining.
For the second round of the Battle of the Beach on Saturday, Diercks timed in fourth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. Starting the $7,000-to-win finale in seventh, Spencer pulled pitside on lap 26, relegating him to 21st in the finishing order.
