Runner-up finish for BMJ in Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway
Billy Moyer Jr. followed the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the Bad Boy 98.
Drawing 26 Late Models for the two-day event, Moyer Jr. clocked in fifth-fastest in his group before placing second in his heat. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Billy lost two positions in the 30-lap prelim to finish seventh.
With the field elevated to 31 cars on Saturday, Billy outran Cade Dillard in his heat race to pick up the eight-lap victory. Starting the $12,000-to-win Bad Boy 98 finale in second, Moyer Jr. led laps 7-49 but was unable to contain a hard-charging Kyle Beard late in the 68-lapper. He went onto place second with Logan Martin rounding out the podium.
Billy is currently second in the latest CCSDS point standings.
