Fifth-place finish with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at 300 Raceway

Less than 24 hours after competing in the rain-delayed Farmer City 74, Tyler Erb returned to action on Tuesday with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries at Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa).

Drawing 33 cars for the fifth stop of the tour, Erb was forced to use a provisional into the opener after missing a transfer spot in his heat and B-Main. With $23,023 on the line, Tyler gained two spots to finish 20th.

For another $23,023-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event on Wednesday at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Tyler’s sixth-place finish in his heat relegated him into a B-Main for another shot at the A-Main. Taking the top-two, Erb fell short with a fourth-place outing.

Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the You Call We Haul 50, Erb raced his way into the show with a third-place finish in his heat. With $12,000 on the line, Tyler clawed forward two spots to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Ricky Thornton Jr., Tim McCreadie, Hudson O’Neal, and Mason Zeigler to the checkers.

On Saturday evening at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa), Tyler followed up fifth-place finish in his heat with a second-place run in his consolation race. Starting the $15,000-to-win CRST Transportation Solution 50 in 18th, Erb charged through the field 10 spots in the 50-lapper to place eighth.

The action-packed weekend concluded for Erb on Sunday at Adams County Speedway (Quincy, Ill.) where he raced his way into the MARS Late Model Championship sanctioned feature with a heat race win. Chasing a $5,000 prize, Tyler got caught behind spinning lapped car while running third that brought an early end to his night.
