Electrical issues hinder King's Memorial Day weekend

El Dorado, Arkansas’ Michael King Jr. kicked off his Memorial Day weekend on Friday afternoon with a visit to Super Bee Speedway (Chatham, La.) piloting his Advanced Specialized Carriers No. 14JR Late Model for the two-day event.

Following the eighth-fastest qualifying effort, King raced his way into the opener with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Hanging onto a top-10 finish while battling electrical issues, Michael crossed the line in ninth in the 20-lapper.

On Saturday, Michael gained one spot in his heat to finish fifth but was still fighting lingering electrical issues in the main event. He took the green in ninth but was an early retiree.
