Austin Horton
Horton follows Spring Nationals to I-75 and North Georgia
Venturing to Tennessee on Friday afternoon, Austin Horton entered his Orr's Trucking No. 16 machine into Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals competition at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.).
With 34 Late Models on site, Horton qualified fourth-quickest before earning an A-Main position in his consolation race. For the $7,553-to-win main event, Austin recorded a 14th-place outing.
For the Biddle Ridley Memorial on Saturday afternoon at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.), Austin was third-quickest in qualifying before nabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. In the 53-lap feature, Horton gained three positions to finish just outside the Top-10 in 12th.
