Podium finish with Allstar Performance Series at Merritt Speedway

Cody Bauer visited Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Mich.) on Friday afternoon to kick off his Memorial Day weekend with the Allstar Performance Challenge Series event.

Drawing 30 UMP DIRTcar Late Models, Bauer claimed the fast time honors in qualifying with a 14.195-second lap before placing first in his heat. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Cody led laps 1-10 before fading to third when the checkered flag flew. He chased Chad Finley and Ryan Lanphierd to the checkers with Rusty Schlenk and Eric Spangler completing the top-five finishers.

The team returned to the Michigan oval on Saturday but was a scratch from his B-Main after pulling off on the eighth circuit of his heat.
