Erb scores 10th-place finish in CFNiA event at Florence Speedway
Best Performance Motorsports and Tyler Erb unloaded at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) on Wednesday afternoon for the seventh round of the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries.
Earning the 15th-starting position for the $23,023-to-win A-Main in 15th via a fourth-place run in his heat, Erb gained five spots in the 50-lap affair to finish 10th.
For the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) doubleheader on Friday and Saturday, Erb traveled to West Virginia Motor Speedway (Mineral Wells, W.Va.) for the Historic 100. Following the 13th-fastest qualifying effort, Tyler edged his way into the preliminary feature with a fifth-place finish in his heat. With $10,000 on the line, Erb lost two spots, crossing the line in 15th.
On Saturday, Tyler’s ninth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the 13th row for the $50,000-to-win Historic 100 finale. Before the 30-lap feature was able to hit the track, Mother Nature postponed main event to a later date to be determined.
Tyler is currently ninth in the latest LOLMDS point standings.
