Jason Feger rallies to sixth-place finish in USA World 50 at Paducah
Jason Feger returned to the driver’s seat of his Digital Copy Systems No. 25 Late Model on Friday at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) as the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series invaded to kick off a three-race swing in the Midwest.
In a field of 27 cars, Feger edged his way into the $10,000-to-win Farmer City Showdown with a fifth-place finish in his heat. Rolling off 15th, Jason gained ground early in the race but made the safe decision to retire after his oil pressure started to drop.
With the World of Outlaws on Saturday at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.), Jason’s fourth-place finish in his heat race pinned him on the seventh row for the main event. With $10,000 on the line, Feger got caught behind a multi-car tangle that led to an early exit.
For the weekend finale on Sunday at Paducah International Raceway (Paducah, Ky.), Feger followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with a consolation victory. Starting the $15,000-to-win USA World 50 in 19th, Jason advanced through the field 13 spots in the 50-lap affair to cap off the weekend with an impressive sixth-place finish.
