McKay Wenger lands third-place finish at Farmer City Raceway
The two-race weekend kicked off for McKay Wenger on Friday afternoon at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) in his Rocket Chassis No. 42 Late Model.
Starting the $1,000-to-win A-Main in fourth via a second-place finish in his heat, Wenger improved one spot in the 25-lap affair to finish third. He chased Mike Spatola and Kevin Weaver to the checkers.
At his home track of Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday, McKay raced into the A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat. Chasing a $2,500 FALS Cup, Wenger was taken out by another competitor while challenging for the lead that ended his night on lap 26. He was credited with a 14th-place finish.
