Putnam scores pair of Top-5 finishes with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Whynot
Josh Putnam continued his title hunt with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series on Friday afternoon at at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) for the House Divided 40 doubleheader weekend.
For the weekend opener, Josh topped the charts in qualifying before picking up the victory in his heat race. Starting from the fourth-position via the redraw, Putnam ran as high as second before crossing the line in fourth after 40 laps.
With another $5,000-to-win show on tap Saturday, Putnam was once again victorious in his heat race and drew P2 in the series redraw. For another 40-lap main event, Josh battled with the leaders but couldn't slide by for the lead and ultimately settled for a third-place outing on the podium.
Josh is currently second in the HTFSDS point standings.
