Earl Pearson Jr. 16th in Firecracker 100 at Lernerville Speedway
On Thursday afternoon, Earl Pearson Jr. traveled to Lernerville Speedway (Sarver, Pa.) with his Papich Racing crew to attend the Firecracker 100 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
With 51 Late Models on hand, EPJ qualified 11th-quickest and finished third in his heat race before a rain shower pushed Thursday's features to Friday afternoon. In Thursday's make-up feature, Earl landed a Top-10 outing in ninth.
For another round of prelims on Friday, Pearson Jr. made up two spots in his heat race to transfer to another $5,000 preliminary feature where he would finish 19th.
For Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale, Earl transferred to the Firecracker via a third-place finish in his B-Main. Rolling off from the last row in the 100-lap main event, EPJ recorded a 16th-place finish.
Earl currently sits 11th in series points.
