Matt Cosner fourth in Freedom 60 prelim at Muskingum County
Both Cosner Racing pilots, Matt Cosner and Eddie Carrier Jr., rolled into Muskingum County Speedway (Zanesville, OH) on Friday evening to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) for the two-day Freedom 60.
With the 32-car field split into three groups for preliminary features, Cosner got off to a slow start in time trials before rebounding in his 20-lap prelim with a seventh-to-fourth run. He chased Hudson O’Neal, Devin Moran, and Ross Robinson to the checkers with Garrett Alberson coming in fifth. Carrier improved three spots in his prelim to place seventh.
Eddie’s night came to early end on Saturday with a sixth-place outing in his B-Main while Matt’s run on Friday night locked him into the $30,000-to-win Freedom 60. Taking the green in 11th, Cosner dropped five spots in the 60-lapper to finish 16th.
