Shipley continues season at Oakshade Raceway
Colin Shipley returned to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) on Saturday evening to continue his pursuit of the DIRTcar Late Model division track title against 23 other competitors.
The driver from Weston, Ohio, turned in a second-place effort in group qualifying and won his heat race in his Domination Race Cars No. 44S. He began the A-Main from the sixth position but slid backwards, ultimately turning in a 13th-place finish on the 3/8-mile oval.
Shipley and his Shipley Racing team fell to second in the standings after Saturday’s event, but still are just nine markers behind point leader Devin Shiels.
