Roland records pair of Top-10's at Tri-County & North Georgia with Southern Nationals
After dropping off the tour with motor issues, Will Roland made his return to the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series on Thursday afternoon at Ray Cook's own Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.).
Locking in the Top-5 in qualifying, Roland qualified 10th-quickest but earned a feature starting position after a third-place run in his B-Main. For the $7,553-to-win main event, Roland made up five spots to record a Top-10 finish in 10th.
For Friday's $10,053-to-win event at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.), Will was a strong fourth-fastest in his qualifying group but slipped back one spot in his heat race. Rolling off from 11th-place in the 53-lap feature, Roland gained three positions to finish inside the Top-10 in eighth.
