Podium finish with Comp Cams Super Dirt Series at Poplar Bluff
Returning to the driver's seat of the Henderson Motorsports No. 21 Late Model, Billy Moyer Jr. followed the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) to Poplar Bluff Motorsports Park (Poplar Bluff, Mo.) on Friday afternoon to kick off the doubleheader weekend with the series.
Following the fifth-fastest qualifying lap in his group, Moyer stormed into the feature with a third-to-first run in his heat. Chasing a $5,000 payday in the 40-lapper, Billy lost a position late to finish third, which came behind Mason Oberkramer and Kyle Beard with his dad and B.J. Robinson rounding out the top-five.
The team ventured to Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Ark.) on Saturday but the event was wiped out by Mother Nature after Billy posted a runner-up finish in his heat.
Billy sits second in the latest CCSDS point standings.
