Clem caps off Schaeffer's Southern Nationals with three Top-10's

For the fifth round of the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals miniseries, Tyler Clem unloaded the Big Frog Motorsports No. 58 Late Model at Toccoa Raceway (Toccoa, Ga.) on Tuesday evening for the $7,553-to-win program.

Racing his way into the opener via a runner-up run in his consolation race, Clem charged forward six positions in the 40-lapper to register an eighth-place finish.

Chasing another $7,553 top prize in Thursday’s feature at Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.), Tyler lost a few spots early in the race but clawed back to finish seventh.

In a field of 36 cars on Friday at North Georgia Speedway (Chatsworth, Ga.) for the Earnest & Raymond Young Memorial, Clem edged his way into the $10,053-to-win A-Main with the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat. Wheeling to his third-consecutive top-10 finish, Tyler marched forward six spots to cross the line in 10th.

Prior commitments forced the team to miss the Southern Nationals finale at Tazewell Speedway (Tazewell, Tenn.) after Mother Nature shifted Saturday’s event to Sunday.

Tyler finished ninth in the Schaeffer's Southern Nationals point standings.
