Cody Bauer lands runner-up finish at Merritt Speedway
For another weekend of weekly competition, Cody Bauer returned to Merritt Speedway (Lake City, Mich.) on Saturday afternoon to compete in the UMP Late Model division.
Among 23 entries signed in, Bauer qualified fourth-fastest in his group and made up two spots to finish second in his heat race. In the 30-lap main event, Cody quickly drove through the field to the runner-up spot where would eventually finish behind race-winner Greg Gokey. He finished ahead of Chad Finley, Curtis Roberts, and Brandon Thirlby completed the Top-5.
