Bailes leads flag-to-flag in USA 100 at Beckley Motor Speedway

Heading North to West Virginia, Ross Bailes returned to the driver's seat of the Norm Nichols-owned No. 5 machine on Saturday afternoon at Beckley Motor Speedway (Beckley, W.Va.) with the Southern All Star Series.

Among 24 Late Models in the pits, Bailes qualified third-quickest in his group and outran Keith Jackson in his heat race for the victory. Snatching the lead from the front-row on the initial start, Ross never relinquished the top spot in the lengthy 100-lap feature. With the track locking down around halfway in the event, Bailes led flag-to-flag in a dominating performance to take home the $20,000 payday. In just his third start with the Nichols Plumbing crew, Ross topped Jacob Hawkins, Zach Dohm, Zack Mitchell, and Jimmy Owens who completed the Top-5.
