Pair of fourth-place finishes with Modified Mafia Tour at Potomac and Virginia
Returning to Modified Mafia competition, Austin Holcombe traveled to Potomac Speedway (Budds Creek, Md.) on Friday afternoon for a $2,500-to-win main event.
Following the fifth-fastest lap in qualifying, Holcombe ran inside the Top-5 for the majority of the main event and landed in fourth when the checkered flag flew.
The following evening at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.), Austin earned the fourth-place starting spot in the Climb to the Pole. For another $2,500-to-win main event, Holcombe ran as high as second in the 30-lap feature before fading late to once again finish fourth.
