(Warrensburg, Missouri) And then there were three … three weeks of weekly championship points races left at Central Missouri Speedway (CMS) for the 2023 season. Although racing continues through mid-September in non-track points-earning events, by the end of August, the track champions will be determined.

All four divisions, including B-Mods, Super Stocks, Midwest Mods, and Pure Stocks will race throughout the night in full programs of heat races and main events. The Midwest Lightning Sprints are also set to compete as they return to CMS for the first time in many weeks. All divisions will compete for national POWRi points.

Sturgis Streeter won last week’s B-Mod main event and extended his point’s lead over Stephen Clancy, who is still within striking range of the championship. Aaron Poe appears to be on his way to another CMS championship with a commanding lead over Blaine Ewing in Super Stocks. Spencer Reiff leads Terry Moss in the Pure Stock standings. Dustin Dennison currently leads David Wood in the Midwest Mod standings.

There are no entry fees or “track registration” fees for any class (for the remainder of the year) other than the driver pit pass, but drivers will still be required to complete applicable yearly paperwork. ALL drivers in all divisions must possess a current and active POWRi membership license, which is available on-site or prior to the event visiting www.powri.com. The cost of the license is $100 and must be paid prior to racing. Visiting drivers and fans are VERY STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to visit the track’s website and familiarizing themselves with the track’s “Good to Know Information” and “Track General Rules.” Both documents are located at www.centralmissourispeedway.net.

Admissions information is as follows: Adult General Admission $15, Active-Duty Military, Senior Citizens ages 65 to 74, and Students with Student I.D. $12. Kids ages 6 to 12 years $6, Children ages 5 and under and Senior Citizens aged 75 years and older are free in the grandstands. Those permanently confined to a wheelchair are free in the grandstands. ALL pit passes regardless of age or status are $35. The timeline for Saturday is as follows: The Pit Gate opens at 4:30, Admission Gates at 5. The cutoff for drivers to check-in for racing is 6:15 (late check-ins will not earn passing points). The pit meeting takes place at 6:30, followed by practice “hot” laps at 7, with racing to follow at approximately 7:30.

The Hog Roast Nationals take place on Saturday, September 16 to close out the year. There are numerous business partner opportunities available to help boost the racer’s purse money, call Sam at 660-909-1083 to see if the tiered-level sponsorship opportunities fit your budget. There are also opportunities for fans to sponsor races and laps too! After the races, the top 10 in the final point standings for the 2023 season will be honored after the races at the hog roast, which will take place on the patio of Pub 13. All drivers, and their direct family Spouse/Children) will have a free meal ticket courtesy of promoters Earl and Susan Walls and will go through the food line first. Everyone is invited to the post-race celebration and hog roast with a gratuity tip recommended for those going through the food line. After the top 10 are honored, an end-of-season party will take place with karaoke by Char after dinner and awards.
