Fifth-place outing with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at East Alabama
Returning to East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for Friday's rain-postponed Southern Nationals Series event, Austin Horton prepared for a two-day weekend at the track.
Transferring to the A-Main by winning the one and only B-Main, Horton was an early retiree in the 40-lap feature on lap 19.
Hoping for better luck on Saturday, Austin Horton stayed overnight to compete with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for a $10,000 prize.
Laying down the fastest lap out of 27 Late Models on the property, Austin was victorious in his heat race but pulled P4 in the A-Main redraw. Rolling off from second row, Horton battled inside the Top-10 and wound up fifth in the 50-lap feature.
