Mills lands on podium at Senoia Raceway with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series

Heading to the Peach State for another weekend of Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series action, Trey Mills unloaded his Mills Concrete No. 14 Black Diamond Race Car at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) for the first leg of a doubleheader weekend.

Among a smaller field of cars on Friday, Mills was unable to record a qualifying lap after losing power steering during his lap. Following a seventh-place finish in his heat race, Trey started the 40-lap main event from the 13th spot and brought it home 10th.

Looking for better luck at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday, Trey qualified 12th-fastest out of 24 Late Models before making up a position in his heat race to finish third. Rolling out from the fifth-row in the $5,400-to-win Head Family Memorial, Mills carefully moved around his competitors to land on the podium in third. He trailed Michael Page and Zack Mitchell while Austin Horton and Jordy Nipper completed the Top-5.

Trey leads the current Rooke of the Year standings and sits fourth in overall series points.

Mills will return to the track next weekend as the tour travels back to Georgia for events at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway and Rome (Ga.) Speedway.
