Sooner State Labor Day Run Next For The American Sprint Car Series

(August 29, 2023) A combined $9,000 to win is up for grabs this weekend with the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt.com as the tour teams up with the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products at Arrowhead Speedway on Friday, September 1, and Longdale Speedway on Saturday, September 2.
Set to be the 13th Oklahoma oval to host the National Tour, the newly built Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Okla., is a one-third-mile oval situated on the site of the former Flint Creek Speedway (aka. 412 Speedway Park, West Siloam Spring Speedway, and West Siloam Speedway). The area has hosted racing since 1987, with the last ASCS Sooner Region event held in 2017, where Dustin Morgan picked up the win. Bearing no resemblance to the former facility, Arrowhead Speedway hosted its first event on May 26, 2023.
Friday, September 1, will feature a $4,000 to win, $400 to start main event. Pits open at 4:00 P.M., with Grandstands opening at 6:00 P.M. Cars will hit the track for Hot Laps at 7:30 P.M., followed by Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and youth (13-17). $5 for youth (6-12), and free for kids five and under. Pits are $40. Other divisions include USRA Stock Cars, AmeriFlex USRA B-Mods, and USRA Tuners.
Arrowhead Speedway is located 5.5-miles from the Oklahoma/Arkansas line at 20316 US-412 West in Colcord, Okla. Information on the track can be found online at https://arrowheadspeedway.com or by calling (479) 228-4290.
The final event in the ASCS Summer Super Series, Saturday, September 2, at Longdale Speedway, is $5,000 to win, $500 to start. First hosting the tour earlier this year, the weekend was split by Seth Bergman and current series point’s leader, Jason Martin. Pits at 4:00 P.M., Grandstands at 5:00 P.M., Hot Laps at 7:15 P.M., and Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors, and free for kids 12 and under. Pits are $35.
