Wenger salvages second with brake issues at Fairbury Speedway

Coming off a win at the quarter-mile oval the week before, McKay Wenger returned to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday evening to pilot his Creative Kitchens & Baths No. 42 Late Model.

After setting the pace in time trials, Wenger raced into the $2,500-to-win A-Main with a heat race victory but battled a loose left-rear brake caliper to a runner-up finish in the 25-lapper. He trailed Rich Bell to the checkers with Mike Spatola coming in third.
