Ricky Weiss tackles World 100 at Eldora Speedway
Traveling to the state of Ohio, Ricky Weiss invaded Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Thursday afternoon for the 53rd-running of the World 100.
With the whopping 102-car field split into two groups, Weiss nabbed the final transfer spot in his Last Chance Showdown and went on to place 20th in the evening's preliminary feature.
For another round of prelims on Friday, Ricky made up two spots in his heat before missing an A-Main transfer by just one position in his Last Chance Showdown.
For Saturday's $56,000-to-win finale, Weiss was relegated to a B-Main after a sixth-place finish in his heat. With one more chance to make the 100-lap main event, Ricky was unable to transfer with a sixth-place outing in the final Last Chance Showdown.
Wrapping up his extended week of racing at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Tuesday afternoon, Weiss was one of 31 Castrol FloRacing entries checked in. Transferring to the $23,023-to-win main event through a B-Main, Weiss recorded a 12th-place finish in the 50-lap feature.
