Rick Ziehl Returns To ASCS Southwest Victory Lane!

Bryan Hulbert - CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (September 30, 2023) Ending a four-year drought with the ASCS Southwest Region, ten-time series champion Rick Ziehl raced to his 33rd career victory Saturday night at Central Arizona Raceway.

Last winning at the same Arizona oval in 2019, Ziehl chased Chris Bonneau through the opening ten circuits, before taking over the lead on Lap 11, where he led the rest of the way.

Jake Helsel moved seven to second with Lorne Wofford going eight to third. JT Imperial and Cameron La Rose completed the top-five.

The 2023 season will mark the 32nd year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the American Sprint Car Series National Tour, the ASCS Nation includes Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
