Pittsburgher brings EPJ Top-5 with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
For the series final regular weekend of racing, Earl Pearson Jr. made the haul to Raceway 7 (Conneaut, Ohio) on Friday evening for the Great Lakes 50 with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Following a fourth-place outing in his heat race, EPJ started the $12,000-to-win feature from the 10th position and recorded a 14th-place finish.
Making the overnight trip to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pa.) on Saturday, Earl qualified ninth-fastest before charging forward in his heat race to finish runner-up. With a $30,000-to-win payday on the line, EPJ fell back to eighth before rallying to record a fifth-place outing.
Earl currently sits tenth in the series points standings.
