Benji Hicks tackles World Finals with World of Outlaws at Charlotte
Joining the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for their finale weekend, Benji Hicks visited The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) for the second week in a row.
On qualifying night of the World Finals, Benji qualified 15th-quickest for Friday's event but laid down a quick lap in Thursday's qualifying session by going fourth-quickest.
Making his first competitive laps on Thursday, Hicks snuck into the $15,000-to-win event with a second-place finish in his Last Chance Showdown. In the 35-lap feature, Benji wound up 24th.
For another $15,000-to-win show on Friday, Benji was in prime position to transfer through his B-Main but faded to finish 10th.
With Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale on tap, Hicks was unable to crack into the A-Main after a sixth-place outing in his B-Main.
