Ferguson shows speed during World Finals at Charlotte
Joining the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for their final weekend of competition in 2023, Carson Ferguson unloaded his Paylor Motorsports machine at The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) for the first night of the World Finals.
On Wednesday's qualifying night, Carson stopped the clock 11th-fastest in Thursday's group and ninth-fastest in Friday's.
Rolling into heat races on Thursday, Ferguson notched a second-place finish which placed him on the fifth row for the $15,000-to-win show. Getting caught up in an early-race incident, Carson recorded a 23rd-place outing.
Once again landing a runner-up outing in his heat race, Carson started 12th in Friday's 35-lap A-Main. With another $15,000 check on the line, Ferguson improved from Thursday with a 15th-place finish.
With Saturday's $25,000-to-win finale on tap, Ferguson snuck into the $25,000-to-win main event with the last transfer spot in his B-Main and wound up 23rd in the final running order.
