Nick Hoffman scores top-10 in Monday's Chili Bowl prelim
Nick Hoffman kick started his 2024 season on Monday afternoon with a visit to Tulsa Expo Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.) to pilot the RAMS Racing No. 2H King Chassis Midget for his preliminary night for the 38th annual Chili Bowl Nationals powered by NOS Energy.
Alongside a stacked field of 85 Midgets, Hoffman picked up a heat race victory from the front row before going third-to-second in his Qualifier. Vying for a top-two finish in Monday’s prelim to qualify for Saturday night’s Chili Bowl, Nick rolled to a consistent ninth-place finish.
Relegated into a C-Main on Saturday afternoon, Hoffman outran his crew chief Zach Daum, to earn a spot into a B-Main. Needing to place seventh or better to qualify for the $20,000-to-win Chili Bowl Nationals finale, Nick’s weekend came to an end with an 18th-place outing aboard his Rothwell Security sponsored No. 2H Midget.
