Howard Moore records 14th-place finish in Monday's Chili Bowl prelim
Kicking off his 2024 season in the state of Oklahoma, Howard Moore trekked to the Tulsa Expo Raceway (Tulsa, Okla.) to pilot the Chris Chappue Racing No. 41X Midget for Monday’s Chili Bowl Nationals preliminary night.
With 85 other competitors set to compete in the opener for the 38th annual event, Moore followed up a fourth-place finish in his heat with an eighth-to-fourth run in his qualifier, locking him into Monday’s preliminary feature. Rolling off 13th for a chance to lock into Saturday's main event, Howard faded one spot in the 30-lap affair to register a 14th-place finish.
Pinned on the seventh row of his C-Main on Saturday afternoon for one last shot at racing into the $20,000-to-win Chili Bowl Nationals, Howard’s weekend came to an early end with a 16th-place outing.
