LaRose notches 8th-place result at Doe Run Indoor
Young RS12 Motorsports driver Zander LaRose hit the dirt for the first time in 2024 over the weekend when he competed in the third round of the winter series at the Doe Run Raceway Indoor Track (Palmyra, Missouri).
On Friday, LaRose qualified his Spartan Transportation No. 1Z ride fourth in the 10-car LO206 Restricted Box Stock class. “Z-Man” was the only competitor with a 206 engine while the rest were running Clones.
LaRose was running fifth in the night’s 15-lap feature when contact from another competitor led to a flat tire on the No. 1Z car. LaRose was able to correct without a caution and finished eighth.
The following day. LaRose finished second in his heat race in L0206 Restricted Box Stock. However, while playing football during intermission, he suffered a bump to the head. Although he planned to run the A-Main, he was unable to start the 15-lap race when he couldn’t get his helmet on comfortably.
The Doe Run Indoor Series resumes on February 23 and 24.
