Joiner notches sixth-place finish with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at All-Tech

Making his first start of the 2024 season in the Late Model ranks, Joseph Joiner visited All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) on Friday evening to pull double duty for the two-day Winter Nationals.

Joining a stacked field of 48 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries, Joseph backed up the third-fastest lap in his time trial group with a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race. Lined up fifth for the $10,000-to-win opener, Joiner nearly stole the top spot from race-long pacesetter Ricky Thornton Jr. on laps 16-17 before fading to sixth at the finish when the checkers flew in the 50-lapper.

During the same night in the 604 ranks, Joiner raced into Saturday's $5,000-to-win A-Main with a runner-up heat performance.

Back at the Florida oval on Saturday, Joseph’s got buried in Super Late Model time trials and was never able to recover, ending his night with 10th-place B-Main exit.

Rolling off seventh for the 604 Late Model finale, Joiner muscled forward one spot in the 50-lap affair to register a sixth-place finish.
