Dooley ninth in Battle at the Beach during CRUSA Winter Shootout finale
With Mother Nature washing out the event last weekend, Matt Dooley was one of 25 Crate Racin' USA Winter Series Late Models at Southern Raceway (Milton, Fla.) the following weekend for the rescheduled Battle at the Beach.
Battling through rough track conditions, Dooley qualified seventh-quickest in his group before finishing eighth in his heat.
For Saturday's $10,000-to-win main event, Matt weathered a lengthy 50-lap feature to finish inside the Top-10 in ninth.
