Chase Holland continues season with Clash on the Coast
Throughout the first week of February, Chase Holland competed at two tracks in the Sunshine State as part of the Clash on the Coast miniseries. A $1,000 first-place prize was up for grabs in the IMCA Modified division each night.
The racing action kicked off on Monday as a whopping 99 Modifieds filled the pit area of Baker, Florida’s Northwest Florida Speedway. Holland finished sixth in his heat and fifth in his B-Main on the quarter-mile oval, ending his evening before the 25-lap feature.
Ninety-three tough Modified drivers were at the same track on Tuesday. Holland came home sixth in his heat and ninth in his consolation race, again precluding him from a starting spot in the 25-lap main event.
On Thursday, 89 Modified entrants descended on the 3/8-mile Southern Raceway as the series shifted to the track located in Milton, Florida. Holland finished fifth in his heat and 10th in his B-Feature after getting spun and taking a hard hit to the rear end while running fourth.
The accident created too much damage to continue, bringing Holland’s event to a close both before the night’s 25-lap feature and Saturday’s Southern Raceway finale.
