Trent Ivey bags career-high $20,000 payday at Cherokee Speedway with Southern All Stars

Debuting a new Shurling Motorsports-owned Super Late Model ride on Sunday afternoon, Trent Ivey unloaded at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the annual March Madness event with the Coltman Farms Southern All Stars and Mid-East Super Late Model Series.

Ivey topped the 25-car field in qualifying before earning the pole position for the feature after the series decided to scrap the heat races last minute. Leading flag-to-flag in the 50-lap main event, Ivey held off a hard-charging Brandon Overton in the final laps to secure the victory. He topped Donald McIntosh and Chris Madden who completed the podium as Ivey pocketed $20,000 for his efforts, the biggest payday of his career.
