Nathan Mendenhall takes home the win in the 1st DAILY DRIVER at US 13 Dragway

Delmar, DE -

If you missed Sunday's Daily Driver event, we would venture to say you missed one of the best at the U.S. 13 Dragway in quite a while. With over 115 entries in our first ever Daily Driver Race, we witnessed all types of automotive enthusiasts taking part in a day of racing, states race promoter Mark Cathell.

On behalf of all of the staff and management of the U.S.13 Dragway, we would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support this event. We’ve had a lot of folks ask if we would look into having another one. The answer is yes, let us look over this season's calendar and will make a post in the near future.

Congratulations to Nathan Mendenhall on picking up the win in the main event. Mendenhall met Pat Mariner in the final round, Mendenhall picked up the win and big check for $1,000. In our last chance race, Phillip Truitt met Wendell Denny with Truitt picking up the win light and $300. Before the event was over, promoters Mark and Denise Cathell put up and additional $150 for a run-off between the main event and last chance winners. Kevin Mendenhall of BNM Performance jumped right in and put up an additional $50 to raise winner take all pot to $200. So, Mendenhall staged up against Truitt, with Truitt turning a .004 red light giving the win to Mendenhall. Congratulations to all the winners!
