Cory Hedgecock climbs to second in Bama Bash at TST

With wet weather wiping out Friday night’s opener, Cory Hedgecock kicked off his pursuit for the Hunt the Front the Super Dirt Series title with Saturday’s Bama Bash finale at Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.).

Locked on the 10th row for the $15,000-to-win A-Main via third-place result in his heat race, Hedgecock steered forward seven spots in the 50-lap affair to register a second-place finish. He chased Brandon Overton to the checkers with Chris Ferguson rounding out the podium.
