Dooley records runner-up outing at Penton Raceway; Sixth with American All-Star Series

Matt Dooley found himself at Penton (Ala.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the first night of his doubleheader weekend.

Stopping the clock third-fastest out of 15 604 Late Models, Dooley started the 25-lap feature from the second-row and finished runner-up behind Jake Traylor.

Joining the American All-Star Series at Sugar Creek Raceway (Blue Ridge, Ga.) on Saturday, Matt qualified eighth-fastest before winning his heat race. Rolling off eighth in the $5,000-to-win main event, Dooley made up two spots in 50-laps and brought home a sixth-place finish.
