MERRITTVILLE PRACTICE POSTPONED DUE TO WET GROUNDS; PRE-TECH STILL TO TAKE PLACE
THOROLD, ONTARIO… (April 12, 2024) … Due to saturated grounds, the on-track practice session at the Merrittville Speedway scheduled for Saturday, April 13, has been postponed to Tuesday, April 16.
However, pre-tech will still be taking place at the speedway from Noon-4pm. All cars must go through pre-tech prior to going on the racetrack. It is highly recommended and suggested for those who are able, to go to the pre-tech session to avoid the lines during the rescheduled practice session.
The rescheduled practice session will take place on Tuesday, April 16 beginning at 6pm with pits opening at 4pm.
Merrittville’s 73rd season of racing will get underway on Saturday, April 20 as Peters Construction Group presents the Spring Sizzler featuring the Southern Ontario Sprints, plus the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders.
Pit Gates will open at 4pm, with grandstands opening at 5:30pm, and racing will get underway at 7pm. For more information, check out the website at www.merrittvillespeedway.com and fans can follow along with My Race Pass.
