Jordan Koehler settles for podium outing with Ultimate SE at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park
With another Super Late Model event at his home track, Jordan Koehler unloaded his No. 114 machine at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Saturday afternoon for the $7,500-to-win Ultimate Southeast Series event.
Locking in the Top-5 in each qualifying group, Koehler stopped the clock fastest in his group which earned him the pole position for the 50-lap main event. Leading the first 48-laps unchallenged, Jordan gave up to lead to a hard-charging Ross Bailes and fell back one more position to finish third. Koehler rounded out the podium while Payton Freeman finished second.
Evan Koehler was also in action as he was one of 18 602 Late Models signed in for the $1,200-to-win event. Qualifying seventh-fastest, Evan was running inside the Top-10 when he was involved in an accident that ended his night early.
