Pair of top-10's in LOLMDS eastern swing
For a three-race eastern swing with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS), Tyler Erb brought his Best Performance Motorsports No. 1 Late Model to Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.) on Friday for the track’s Melvin L. Joseph Memorial.
After missing his hot lap session, Erb backed up the 12th-fastest time in his qualifying group with a fifth-place finish in his heat. With a consolation victory pinning him on the ninth row for the $19,049-to-win A-Main, Tyler advanced forward 10 spots in the 49-lap affair to register a seventh-place finish.
With Mother Nature washing out Saturday’s Conococheague 50 at Hagerstown Speedway (Hagerstown, Md.), Tyler raced into the Battle in the Borough A-Main on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.) with a third-place finish in his heat race. With a $10,000 payday up for grabs, Erb climbed two spots in the 40-lapper to cap off the weekend with a ninth-place finish.
