Ward strings together a trio of runner-up finishes

With his plans to invade The Badger State rained out by Mother Nature, Tim Ward returned to Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) on Saturday evening to pilot his Xtreme Auto & Carts No. 4TW Modified.

Moving forward in his heat race and the feature, Ward followed up a seventh-to-fourth heat race run with a ninth-to-second showing in the 20-lap main event. He finished 0.636 seconds behind Jake McBirnie.

In a heated battle on Sunday at Benton County Speedway (Vinton, Iowa), Tim nearly nosed ahead of Dallon Murty on lap 17 of the 20-lapper but wasn't able to secure the late rally, marking him second in the rundown.

His streak of runner-up's continued on Wednesday evening at Stuart Speedway (Stuart, Iowa) after the Harcourt, Iowa, driver wheeled to a second-place finish in the feature from the third row.
