Jason Riggs joins Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Farmer City and Fairbury
Losing the first two events of Illinois Speedweek to weather, Jason Riggs made the short trip to Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday afternoon for the $25,000-to-win Farmer City 74.
With 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries signed in, Riggs made one spot in his heat race to finish eighth and was relegated to a B-Main. Needing a Top-2 finish, Jason finished eighth.
For Saturday's $30,000-to-win Spring Shootout at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway, Jason qualified ninth in his stacked qualifying group but fell backwards in his heat race. Being buried in a B-Main, Riggs did not make the call.
