Mason Oberkramer continues season at Show-Me 100

Broseley, Missouri, native Mason Oberkramer traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway in his home state over Memorial Day weekend to take on the crown-jewel Show-Me 100 across three days.

The 32nd annual event, co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA), got underway on Thursday with the Cowboy Classic. Oberkramer’s Premier Flatwork No. 93 Super Late Model was one of 63 in the class at the 3/8-mile speed plant in Wheatland, Missouri. Oberkramer finished eighth in his heat race and 14th in his B-Main, ending his night before the 45-lap, $10,000-to-win feature.

The next night, 59 Super Late Model drivers were at the track for the Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson, paying another $10,000 to the winner. Oberkramer raced to ninth in his heat and seventh in his B-Main, meaning he was unable to transfer into the 40-lap feature race.

For Saturday’s finale, 63 LOLMDS and MLRA racers filled the pit area at the “Diamond of Dirt Tracks.” Oberkramer took eighth in one of three B-Mains used to fill out the field with drivers not already locked into the main event. He then came home eighth in the Show-Me Challenge, ending his final bid to transfer into the 80-lap A-Main.
