McKay Wenger fourth at Fairbury Speedway with MARS Championship Series

Competing in the Super Late Model portion of the Illinois Dirt Shootout, McKay Wenger made the short trip to Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.) on Saturday afternoon for the MARS Late Model Championship Series-sanctioned event.

Stopping the clock second-fastest out of 31 competitors, Wenger dominated his heat race which earned him a starting position on the third-row. For the $5,000-to-win main event, McKay made up one position to finish inside the Top-5 in fourth. He trailed Jason Feger, Allen Weisser, and Ryan Unzicker while Bob Gardner completed the Top-5.

Sunday's $5,000-to-win event at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) was cancelled due to rain.
