Morgan Ward turns in top-10 run at Brown County
On Friday, Morgan Ward and her DFS Insurance No. 37JR WISSOTA Late Model team traveled to Aberdeen, South Dakota’s Brown County Speedway to take part in a 21-car field.
Ward claimed a fifth-place finish in her heat race on the 1/3-mile clay oval, starting her 15th in the 25-lap main event. She steadily marched forward in the feature and entered the top 10 with just two laps left. She then picked up two more spots in the final pair of circuits to record an eighth-place result.
Ward had also planned to race at Casino Speedway in Watertown, South Dakota, on Sunday evening, but the program was rained out.
