Third-place finish at FALS; Caught in pile-up at Macon

Ryan Unzicker returned to action over the weekend competing in Saturday's Super Late Model portion of the Illinois Dirt Showdown at Fairbury Speedway (Fairbury, Ill.).

Drawing 31 MARS Late Model Championship Series entries, Unzicker's runner-up heat showing positioned him on the second row for the $5,000-to-win A-Main. With a $5,000 payday up for grabs, Ryan climbed one spot in the 30-lap affair to register a third-place finish.

Back in action on Tuesday afternoon, Ryan joined a field of 26 Castrol FloRacing Night in America entries at Macon Speedway (Macon, Ill.) for the tour's 2024 opener. After racing into the A-Main via his B-Main, Ryan got collected in a massive tangle following an early restart that involved several competitors. He competed in a few more laps before retiring on lap 12.
